I Have a Line 6 Spider III 30 Amp, Ibanez Gio and a Zoom G1 Effects Pedal. I Was Wondering Is That Okay To Start With?
I Was Also Wondering, I Have Had My Strings On My Guitar For Around 4 Months Now, And They Haven't Rust Or Snapped Yet, When Should I Change Then.

Sounds like a good set up to me.
If the strings sound dead, then they need replacing

I change my strings about every two to three months.

It really doesn't matter what you start with as long as it isn't a guitar from a cheap asian rip off shop. When I started I just got a beginners guitar kit from the Rock Shop in New Zealand (A standard squire electric and marshal amp) and that suited me fine for the first couple of years.

As for changing strings, it doesn't matter when you change them. Obviously the more often you change them the better but with my 12 string for instance I changed the strings at the start of 09 and I've broken 5/12 and I'm still using the same set of strings.
